TAE Grant Fund – Schools
The TAE Grant Fund 2024–25 is an initiative by the Victorian Department of Education to support school staff in obtaining qualifications to teach Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses. Eligible schools can claim reimbursements of up to $1,500 for Skill Set course fees and up to five days of Casual Relief Teaching (CRT) costs, not exceeding $2,500 per teacher. This funding is available for qualified teachers completing core skill sets from the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122), specifically the TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set or the TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set. Non-teaching staff aiming to become VET trainers are encouraged to complete the full TAE40122 qualification through the Free TAFE initiative. Schools can claim reimbursements for costs incurred between January 1, 2024, and April 30, 2025, upon the teacher’s course completion.
