Bartending and Cocktails
Upcoming Short Courses
There are currently no openings available for this course.Bartending and Cocktails
It can be incredibly tough to get a ‘trial’ in a venue let alone a job without any prior experience. This course will provide you with a fundamental understanding of what a bartender is required to do, the language used in the workplace and the skills to do your job and be a better employee. That way when you get a trial shift you can focus on showing your personality, passion and commitment, rather than suddenly having to learn a new language and skills an employer would look for as a requirement. This 2-day course would be a great start for somebody looking to enter into the hospitality sector as a bartender.
You will learn the basic knowledge and skills to mix drinks, utilize and implement selling skills and understand spirits, liqueurs and other drinks commonly sold in a bar environment. The second day of the course will build on the core skills and techniques you learnt on Day 1, to help you aim for a higher standard of bar skills to help you gain employment.
It is recommended to complete the Responsible Service of Alcohol course before the Bartending and Cocktails course.
Certificate provided upon successful completion. 100% attendance required.
